That sounds so awful! Next time, as soon as he comes in you should run and stand in front of the door. And I hate the worrying that comes with being a mom. One time I kept trying to decide if Jell was really sick or not, and when I finally brought her to the doctor she had terrible ear infections in both ears! I felt horrible! And the doctor was like, next time bring her in sooner. Great. That makes me feel lots better! Oh, and the next time I did - and there was nothing wrong. I can't win. I’m so sorry! My kids are in the same situation and their Dr. is nice but not the brightest man in the world sometimes. When James was a baby we were in his office every couple of weeks because of ear infections until finally one time we saw the P.A. and she said he needed tubes. Good luck! Absolutely shameful. You could try a couple others on the list until Shaun can get work with insurance attached and you have some more options. But also, if you suspect allergies you may want to fork out the bucks for a consult with an allergist. Once the problem is identified then you can continue on your own. You won't necessarily have to continue seeing them on a regular basis. Have you recently started him on some solids that he may be reacting to? Evaluating his diet is always a good start. There is lots of info out there to give you some ideas of where to start. It could just be spring allergies (which are a pain but usually treatable) or he could have developed an allergy to the cats over the last few months. Good luck with the detective work.
