Edwards Haps and Mishaps

Janelle and I are in California this weekend. We just got back to Sacramento after spending the last few days at the beach. It was a lot of fun. We went to Monterey, Carmel, and a couple other fun beaches. One of the highlights for me was driving down “17 mile drive.” It’s a long winding road through some very nice golf courses, including “Pebble Beach.” It was amazing driving past Pebble Beach — I couldn’t see much of the course, but just being there was exciting. All along the drive we passed enormous houses that surely cost more money than I will ever see in my entire life — unless i find that sack of money that I’ve been looking for — and I felt like I was in a zoo. We drove by all the fenced off areas that we aren’t allowed to enter and oogled at the “exotic creatures.” Anyway, I just thought it was interesting the way we were seperated from the filthy rich in the same manner that we are separated from animals in a zoo.
