Edwards Haps and Mishaps

I know that the pic of the day contest is really between Christer and Janelle, but I am filling in for Janelle today. When she was getting ready to post a new pic I made a comment about her using the same size pics all the time, and so she told me that I could use any size pic I wanted and post it myself… so here I am posting a big picture.

This is a picture we took while we were at a park trying to fly a kite with Preston. The kite didn’t fly well, but we had a great time hanging out with family, and we really enjoyed the weather (my job may not be great but at least we have great weather). Happy pic of the day to you!

I just realized that the only other time I took a picture of Preston in the bath tub was when he was a few days old! We do bathe him…I promise. Bath pictures are adorable. We did however, cover up his manhood for his sake. So when we take out the bath pictures when he brings his girlfriend over, it won’t be as embarrassing for the poor kid…but hopefully he doesn’t have a girlfriend for a LONG time!!

Here is a picture of Preston today. Since Christer challenged us to a picture a day (he probably was just kidding around…) I have decided to try and find something to take a picture of each day and post it. (We’ll see how long this lasts!) Most of these will probably be of Preston since that is what my day consists of.

Shaun and I decided that we need to find some hobbies to do together so tonight we are going to our first ballroom dance lesson! I chose that one and Shaun is thrilled :) Oh well, I think it’ll be fun! I was inspired by watching “Shall We Dance” last weekend. I am pretty excited! Hope you all have a grrrreat Friday night!!

I feel this video describes Preston. What was once a quiet chill baby, is now an energetic loud kid who loves to hear himself and make noise with anything he can get his hands on! Christer, you’re on.

WOW! There have been so many big “firsts” this week. Well, some aren’t so big as others, but still… So here it goes: I walked in to find Preston standing up in his crib after his nap for the first time, he went to gymnastics at Tricks today (and will probably be sick for the first time too after sucking on all the mats…yuck!) We went on our first family bike ride yesterday and Preston fell asleep and totally looked like he was dead…I had to stop and check just in case! His first tooth just broke through today!!!!! Well, it’s pretty much through. I can feel the tiniest little sharp thing when I run my finger across his gums. He crawled up to stairs this week…and rolled down them too :( but there were no tears or bumps, so it was a happy ending for all. His first girl cousin was born a week and a half ago (yay Christer, Cat, and Addison!!) And he wore shorts for the first time too. So fun! It is neat watching Preston grow up and I wish so bad that Shaun’s family could watch him too!! I try and put up videos and pictures so they can get a glimpse of what a crazy fun kid he is but I can’t wait until they can see him again. He’s not the quiet little guy he used to be…but he doesn’t cry when people hold him anymore (that’s a plus.) We love being parents, it’s and AWESOME job!

Preston is learning new things so fast right now! He is a sneeky little one already. We have a video in the “our Photos” section of him holding onto a step and standing up. That was about 2 days ago. Then yesterday, he was able to actually climb up to the second step and almost get to the top of both steps. He is one crazy, fun-lovin’ kid. Here is a picture of him. He likes to chew on nylon straps, so here he is with his car seat strap that he was apparently sucking on when he fell asleep. funny. I’ll have to write more later…I am trying to write this with Preston on my lap to prevent him from eating things off the carpet or mopping the tile with his mouth, so it’s a little tough.
