Folsom Run with Nature
Today Kelsey and I ran a 10K in Folsom. I was planning on running the 5K then yesterday Kelsey decided to run with me and we thought, “We can totally finish a 10K, let’s do it!” Luckily today was supposed to be a record high and the hottest day this year…great. That made running a joy. It was hot and water stations were spaced out just a little bit farther than I had hoped. Oh well, we finished with Preston and Shaun cheering us on. I was probably a sight crossing the finish line…but that’s ok at least we finished and didn’t have to be picked up by the paramedics roaming the trails though there were several points where I thought I might. Here we are afterwards.

I’m so proud of you guys! I would have died in the heat today!!! And you look totally awesome for just finishing a 10K – your face isn’t even red. Looks like you had fun!

That is you AFTERWARDS?!!!!! Good grief! No one should look that good afterwards. Way to go! What an awesome accomplishment. I am very proud of you.

I’m so jealous you get to do things with your family so often. I wish I were closer to mine. Wow, I can’t believe you ran a 10K in that heat. I haven’t ran that far in what seams like ages. Way to go! You are my inspiration.

Good for you! I’m hoping to run a half marathon this summer… I have yet to start training for it though!

It’s always been a goal of mine to run a marathon sometime in my life. Then I run a mile and I alter my goals.

Great job!! You look so good! I need to sign up for a race or something, I totally lose my running motivation when I’m not training for something.
