Eventful
Here in the Edwards home I feel like we have had a pretty eventful couple of weeks. Last week Preston came up to our room in the middle of the night, which isn’t out of the ordinary, but the gagging WAS out of the ordinary. Shaun rushed him to the sink. Throw up #1. Stomach flu. Gross. He’s never had it…so I spent the rest of the wee hours of the morning and a good part of the day chasing him with a bowl, which he has grown to despise at this point.
I washed my hands raw and attempted disinfecting everything and washing everything.
Next day the runs. mmmmmm.
Feeling better the day after so we decided to go watch Tim and Jami as they ran their first half marathon! Yay! They did awesome and looked great as they passed us at mile 9.
Realized that night that Preston had poison oak from playing next to the bike trail by the river. Poor kid! One thing after another.
Then he threw up again all over our bed…more laundry. More paranoid, worried mother.
Monday, right in the middle of Shaun’s first law school final…hit with the stomach flu. Awesome. Perfect timing. He had to run out 6 or 7 times.
At this point I was still washing my hands, as they were beginning to crack.
To no avail, I came down with the flu, 8 months pregnant…super fun!
We are all well now, luckily, and Shaun is working on finishing a few more finals…with no more sickness hopefully!
We hope that you are all well and had a GRRRRREAT Mothers Day and here are a few photos just for fun.
Waiting for Tim and Jami.
Helping mom make cookies…it’s the first time he actually got to lick the beater…I’m kind of a paranoid…salmonella. (Though I’ve NEVER had it in all my cookie dough-eating years.) I’m no fun, but since he reached in and downed a handful I decided licking the beater couldn’t do any more harm.
My first tomato flower!!

You poor guys =( Being sick at any age is not fun and especially being 8 months pregnant. Glad to hear you are all feeling better now! Preston is too cute with batter all over his face!! Reminds me of my kiddos!

That is so sad! I hope Shaun still did well on his final, and I’m glad to hear that Preston is better. POOR THING! On the bright side, all the throwing up you did probably helped to dialate you a little and good thing you all got sick before the baby came :)

Glad you are all feeling better. I’m glad it hit before the baby is born, if it had to hit at all. Loved the pictures. It is cold and stormy here…..makes me want to move by you guys!

Thanks for coming to cheer us on during the race. I didn’t see the sign as I passed, but it is really cute. Thanks for taking pictures too. I wish I was still feeling as good as I looked in that picture around mile 12 though! Glad you are all feeling better!

I’m so glad you guys are feeling better now. It’s bad enough when your child is sick, but having it passed around is the WORST. I’m so sorry it came at such awful timing!! I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well and you guys all stay healthy!
