Graduation

8:36 am by Janelle. Filed under: News

We had such a lovely time graduation weekend! Many people from Shaun’s family came out and the kids had a great time playing with Uncle Dan and Erik and Aunt Kerstin! I don’t think they wanted them to leave!

The graduation ceremony was really neat…kind of long when you have kids…but as they played the graduation music and everyone started walking in I got kind of emotional thinking ‘WOW. It’s over. We did it. He is a law school graduate!!!” I can’t believe we are through with it. I remember being back at BYU and thinking it would be a long time before he graduated with his undergrad…he was 2 years away when we got married. That time seemed to fly by and now, after it is all over, law school flew by too. In the middle of it all I would have probably have said it was dragging on but now it seems like such a short time. I am so proud of my husband! 3 years, 2 more kids added to the bunch, and lots of other obstacles but he still managed to graduate with several honors: Order of the Coif and with “Great Distinction.” (Top 10% of the class and above a 3.5 GPA.)

Reality soon set in after graduation, though, that we are not yet done and now is bar study time…and I think it might be worse than law school was…but oh well, it’ll be over soon enough and let’s hope and pray he passes so we don’t have to go through this again!

Below are a bunch of photos…the first one was a BBQ we had for some of his closes friends in law school. It was fun to get together with everyone and their families. Then we obviously have graduation, then we blessed Dallin on Mother’s day and then just a few of us at the zoo with daddy during his last free week for awhile.
