Edwards Haps and Mishaps

We went for a little family hike at the “Newt Trail.” This is a trail I grew up walking…too bad we didn’t go earlier in the year when the little orange newts are actually all over in the water! We missed them by a month or two, but it was still fun to walk and be in the beautiful mountains!

Shaun starts the bar tomorrow and we can’t wait for it to be OVER so we can do more fun things like this! Funny story…or not so funny story…about the bar. So his teachers recommended they practice hand writing a few practice tests just in case for some reason their laptops failed them during the test. Shaun didn’t think there was a chance of that happening so he didn’t practice. Well, today around 5pm the screen on his laptop broke off. The wires were still connected, but they were just dangling there and every time he opened or closed it more things broke off! The screen worked but then he would have to chance something happening and the screen not working during the exam.  Also, the software used to take the test could only be downloaded once to one computer. He called the software company and the girl said he would have to take the software off the laptop in order to put it on another one…so he took it off. Then she told him AFTER he had already taken the software off that she had to submit a request and she wasn’t sure if they would get that done today… SO we are hoping and praying that at 5:30am, when the company opens, that Shaun can call, get permission to put the software on a different laptop, download it, and get to the testing center downtown and be seated by 8:20 tomorrow morning…otherwise he will have to hand write the test which according to statistics hand written tests generally don’t have  as high a passing rate. BUT I have faith and know that he has really worked hard and done all that he can. So I am relying on something I heard in church on Sunday, Let go and Let God.
